When you first contact us, you will be presented with a document entitled "Disclosure Regarding Real Estate Agency Relationships." You will be asked to review this form, and sign the portions which describe your relationship with Arthur Lee of Red Rock, Inc. That is because Section 443 of Article 12-A of the New York State Real Property Law requires the real estate agent to provide prospective buyers, tenants, sellers and landlords information regarding the nature of their relationship.
Three principal kinds of relationship are defined: Seller's Agent, Buyer's Agent," and Agent Representing Both Seller and Buyer (Dual Agency). A Seller's Agent represents the owner of the property being advertised. You may choose not to sign the agency disclosure form, but you should understand that the agent is required by the NY Department of State to make note of your decision not to sign and keep that record on file.
